Okay, so each pipe fills up the pool in 15 hours, so the rate is (1/15)t where t is time in hours

So, your equation is then:

4 x (1/15)t = 4t/15 = 15/15 (1 filled pool is 15/15)

so,

4t = 15

t = 15/4 = 3 3/4 hours which is 3 hours and 45 minutes
