Hello Maureen,
This problem contains measurements in two different units, meters and cm. You'll need to do a conversion first.
This shows meters converted to cm. You could also convert the cm to meters which wouldn't involve all these zeroes
1 meter = 100 cm
3 meters wide = 300 cm
6 meters long = 600 cm
4 meters long = 400 cm
The volume of the storage container is found now by multiplying width x length x height
300 x 600 x 400 = 72,000,000
Each small box has a volume = 50 x 50 x 50 = 125,000
To find how many small boxes will fit in the storage container, divide these
72,000,000 ÷ 125,000 =576
576 boxes will fit
