algebra ONE - 3(-5x-2)

Use the distrubutive property to rewrite the expression. 3(-5x-2)

Is that negative in front of the 3 or not???
IF NOT......
3(-5x - 2) = -15x - 6

3 times -5 is -15
3 times -2 is -6

BUT IF IT IS!!! then the answer is 15x + 6 because the signs will change
