The Density of the Alloy is 1.05kg/60cm3 = 17.5g/cm3
Now we use the Alliteration Method to determine the ratio of Gold and Silver in the alloy:
GOLD SILVER
19.3 10.5
17.5
(17.5-10.5)= 7 1.8 (=19.3-17.5)
So, if the crown weighed 8.8 gms. there would be 7 gms. of Gold.
Proportionally for a 1050 gms crown there is 835.23 gms. of Gold.
