What is the area of a square that has a side length of 15 centimeters?

I know the answer is 225 but i don't know if it'd be 225 sq. cm or just 225 cm because it's asking of the area.

When you calculate the area of this square you are

multiplying cm by cm so the answer is in square cm...

 

(15cm)(15cm) = 225 cm²
