Question

 The total age of the three cousins' ages is 48. Suresh is half as old as Hakima and 4 years older than Saad. How old are the cousins?

u + a + h = 48

u = h/2 -------> h = 2u

u = a + 4

 

u + a + h = 48

u - a = 4

2u + h = 48

 

h + h = 48

2h = 48

h = 24

 

2u + 2u = 48

4u = 48

u = 12

 

12 - a = 4

a = 8

 

Suresh is 12, Saad is 8 and Hamika is 24.
