10(t+3) + 25t = 240

10t + 30 + 25t = 240

35t + 30 = 240

35t = 210

t = 210/35 = 6

she biked for 6 hours , which is 150 miles

she walked for 9 hours, which is 90 miles

the total is 240 miles
