fre has $300 to spend on paint and bed liners. A gallon of paint costs $14 and a bed liner costs $60. How many bed liners and how much paint can he buy?

We are learning about inequalities I know how to set it up but not solve

Example:  If you bought 5 bedliners you could not afford any paint.
If you bought 21 gallns of paint you would hav $6 left but couldn't
buy any bedliners.  What are the parameters.

Okay... Then pick a reasonable number of bedliners, and spend the rest on paint.
Example:  3 bedliners

14p + 60(3) ≤ 300
14p + 180 ≤ 300
14p ≤ 120
p ≤ 8.6

He could purchase 3 bedliners and 8 gallons of paint with a little money left.

What if he purchases 2 bedliners, or 4?
The problem works the same as for equalities with the exception
that, if both sides are multiplied or divided by a negative then
the inequality reverses.
