Let p = number of gallons of paint
Let b = number of bed liners
Your basic equation is:
14p + 60b ≤ 300
We need to know the restrictions. Is there a maximum
number of either or other information?

Okay... Then pick a reasonable number of bedliners, and spend the rest on paint.
Example: 3 bedliners
14p + 60(3) ≤ 300
14p + 180 ≤ 300
14p ≤ 120
p ≤ 8.6
He could purchase 3 bedliners and 8 gallons of paint with a little money left.
What if he purchases 2 bedliners, or 4?
The problem works the same as for equalities with the exception
that, if both sides are multiplied or divided by a negative then
the inequality reverses.
