Substitute teaching calculations

Question

I can only make $1180 a month as a substitute teacher. At location A I make $98 a day, location B $85, and location C $95. What is the least amount of days I could work a month while working at each of the locations at least once? And at what locations?

This is for my mothers work. She had the equation as 95x+98y+85z=1180 but we couldn't figure it out.

The equation given represents the some of the conditions. It alone is worthless.

The condition "least amount of days" requires that you work at the location that pays the most.

The process is just trial and error.

Note that B + C result in a multiple of 5.

Therefore 1180  minus some multiple of 98 must be a multiple of 5

5 days at A is $490, that leaves $690 for B and C

1 day at C is $95, that leaves $595 for B

7 days at B is $595
