He eats 1 hotdog every 5 minutes

 

6 hours = 6(60) = 360 minutes

 

360(1/5) = 72 hotdogs

Also, you could set up a proportion

x hotdogs is to 360 minutes as 4 hotdogs is to 20 minutes

 

x:360::4:20

20x = 4(360)

x = 4(360)/20

x = 72 hotdogs
