Graph the system of inequalities and classify the figure created by the solution region (e.g., triangle, trapezoid, or parallelogram).
x ≤ -1y ≤ 3x + 2
y ≥ -3x - 10

Answer 1

x ≤ -1

y ≤ 3x+2

y ≥ -3x+10

 

To do this problem, you need to separately graph each line:

 

x = -1

y = 3x+2

y = -3x+10

 

Then figure out which side of the line the inequality satisfies.  because the inequalities include the "equal to", in all cases the line itself is part of the solution space.  Click on the link below to see a graph of the solution.
