You might have misplaced the "is" in the question.

I interpreted it instead like this, "How old am I if 400 reduced by 4 times my age is 60?"

 

"my age" = x

4 times "my age" = 4*x

 

400 reduced by "4 times my age" = 400 - 4x

 

All of that is 60.

 

You just have to figure out an equation and solve for x (my age).
