This is asking for you to find a rate, in minutes/word, then multiply that by the words and get the minutes needed for 3000 words.

Minutes/word with what you have is 30 min/12000 words.  Divide it out.  Take that answer, a unit rate for min/word and multiply it by 3000 word and you will get your answer, in minutes.

 

30min/12,000 words * 30,000 words =
