MBA_Salary.xlsx contains the annual salaries, in thousands of dollars, earned by individuals who graduated with MBAs in 2015 and 2016 from a certain business school in Canada. We would like to determine whether the distribution of salaries for 2015 MBA graduates is higher than for 2016 MBA graduates.

 

I need help with which non-parametric test?

If you are comparing means and the assumptions are violated, you would be conducting a Mann-Whitney test. A Mann-Whitney test is the non-parametric equivalent of the independent samples t-test that would normally conduct when comparing means. I hope that helps.
