Hi Iggy,
So you are probably used to equations which have only one x, and then you work to isolate the x. This is different, it has both x and 4x on the same side. Now, before you treat it as an equation to solve, you have to look at the one side as an expression. What is x + 4x?
I'll leave that for you. But if it were x + 6x, it would be 7x.
Then the equation should look familiar to you. For example,
7x = 42 Divide both sides by 7
x = 6
Follow the same procedure with your problem. You CAN do it!
