When you consider a set of ordered pairs (x,y), the set of all of the x's is the domain and the set of the y's is the range.
ex: (2,6),(2,7),(3,7),(3,8).
There are only 2 possible x's so the domain is {2,3}
There are only 3 possible y's so the range is {6,7,8}
