A regular size chocolate bar is 4 2/3 inches long. If the king size bar was 8 3/7 inches longer? What is the length of the king size bar. Answer as a mixed number

Simple!  Just add the two numbers. To add the fraction parts, 2/3 + 3/7, you need to get a common denominator, so that part is 23/21 or 1 and 2/21.  

 

Therefore the answer is 13 plus 2/21 inches.
