Emilio has a $150 on a gift card. He uses the gift card to purchase 8 dvds. Adam had $175 on a gift card and used the gift card to purchase 10 of the same dvds that Emilio purchased. They both now have the same amount left on their gift cards. Write and solve and equation to determine the cost of one dvd

y = amount left

 

150 - 8x = y

175 - 10x = y
