We know how to make 10 cups of coffee now we need to know how to make just one, introvert problems.  In order to get from 10 cups to 1 cup we would divide by 10 so lets do the same with 3 3/4 tablespoons.  

 

First let's change 3 3/4 into an improper fraction (3*4+3=15 for the numerator and we keep the same denominator).  Our improper fraction is 15/4.

 

Divide 15/4 by 10 or 10/1, dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by the reciprocal so 15/4 divided by 10/1=(15/4)/(1/10)=15/40=3/8.

 

Therefore for just one cup of coffee you would need 3/8 tablespoons.  Hope that helps!
