When you reverse the digit in a certain two digit number you decrease it’s value by 36 find the number of the sum of its digit is 14

I need help with my math problem and everyone have similar questions but not the same one I’m lookin for

any help would be nice

Let the number have x in the tens place and y in the ones place.  When the digits are reversed, you will have y in the tens place and x in the ones place.  Then 

 

10y + x = (10x + y) - 36

 

-9x + 9y = -36 ⇒ x - y = 4

 

(i)   x - y = 4

 

(ii)  x + y = 14  [given]

 

Solve (i) and (ii) for x and y and get 

 

x = 9

y = 5

 

The number is 95.

 

Test the answer. Note that 95-59=36.
