To find the slope we simply look for the change in the y-value between two points and divide by the change in the x-value between those same two points. For your two points:
(x1, y1) = (0,0) and (x2, y2) = (-6, 2)
so: (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) = (2-0)/(-6-0) = 2/(-6) = -1/3
that's your slope = -1/3
