A=LWH is the same as A = L x W x H
When you are trying to solve an equation and only have multiplication on the side you're trying to figure out, you divide by what was multiplied (on both sides)
A ÷ (W x H) = L x W x H ÷ (W x H)
or (since any number divided by itself equals 1
A ÷ (W x H) = L
Which is also
L = A ÷ (WH)
