A rectangular prism's surface area is the 2 ends plus 4 sides (2 different sizes in this case). Find the area of each, then add together. The end, 2x3, has an area of 6. 2x6 and 3x6 gives you the sides. end + end + side(a) + side(a) + side(b) + side(b) = 6+6+12+12+18+18 = 72.
