The common difference among the x values is 2.  The common difference among the y values is 5.  Therefore, we have a slope.

 

slope = change in y / change in x

slope = 5/2

 

Know this pattern, at x=0 , we have y=-2.  This is the y-intercept.  So your linear equation is

 

y = (5/2)x - 2
