A gas tank has a leak. Each hour it loses 3 gallons of gas.

Write the equation that represents how much gas, g , the tank loses over h hours.

Answer 1

L(t) is the function name (Loss, as a function of time).

L(t) = 3t  where t is # of hours.

 

Or, if you prefer, g(h) = 3h.
