Perimeter = 2(length + width)
P = 2(L+w)
We are told the length is 3 times the width...
L = 3w
64 = 2(3w + w)
64 = 2(4w)
64 = 8w
8 = w
L = 3w = 3(8) = 24 cm
Length is 24 cm
width is 8 cm
