Hi there, what is the % chance of 7 specific people being in the top 9 if there are currently 12 people remaining. Order does not matter but it has to be 7 specific people that make it to the finsl 9 with 12 people remaining in an elimination type senario. (Even stakes)

There is only one distinct subset for the 7 specific people. But the other two chosen to be in the top 9 can be anybodies,

 

Therefore P(E) = 1•₅C₂ / ₁₂C₉
