3S=George's age

5 years from now: S+5 and 3S+5

S+5+3S+5=46

4S+10=46

4S=46-10

4S=36

S=36/4

S=9 years old

3S=27 years old

check: (9+5)+(27+5)=46

           14+32=46

                  46=46
