Do you mean "find BC" ?

If so...

(x+3)^2=(x+2)^2+BC^2

x^2+6x+9=x^2+4x+4+BC^2

x^2+6x+9-x^2-4x-4=BC^2

simplify

2x+5=BC^2

√(2x+5)=BC
