    Recall, the definition of probability, probability of getting an specific event is equal to, number of event divided by total number of possible events. In this problem, specific event is 6 of heart, and total number of events are 52 cards in a deck. Therefore the probability of getting a 6 of heart 

 

P(6 of heart) = Number of 6 of heart/ Total number of cards

                   = 1/52

 

There is one in 52 chance if getting a 6 of heart when a random card is drawn from a deck of card.
