Madam lee had a bale of cloth measuring 150m in her shop, a customer asked her to sew 10 cusion covers eachmeasuring 3m of cloth. Another customer bought 21m of the same cloth. Ho much cloch had she left?

I can see more than one way to work this problem.  <br><br>

 

The way that I would work it would be:<br><br>

 

     CU = 3x + 21<br>

     CU(10) = 3(10) + 21

       So, CU of 10 pillows is:  30 + 21 = 51<br><br>

 

     Then, the question of remaining cloth:<br><br>

 

          150-51=99<br><br>

 

               There are 99 meters of cloth remaining.
