if YZ=10 and Y lies at -5, where would Z be located?

Suppose that Y and Z are points on a number line

Z is either 10 units to the left of -5 or 10 units to the right of -5.
 
So, Z = -15 or 5
Solve this equation for Z.
 
-5Z = 10

This has to do with distance between two points on a number-line, Michael, so it's not multplication (YZ).
The question was poorly stated then.
