Let l = the length
The diagonal is the hypotenuse of a right triangle, and the width is one of the sides. Use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the length.
62 + l2 = 82
36 + l2 = 64
l2 = 28
l = √28
length = 2√7 cm
A = lw
A = 2√7 (6)
A = 12√7 cm2
P = 2l + 2w
P = 2(2√7) + 2(6)
P = 4√7 + 12 cm
