Find similar terms and factor the X and placed it outside the Parenthesis and then add the numeric:
3x, 9x, 7x, and 5x --->> X( 3+9+7+5) ==>>X(24) ==>> 24X

Each term (3x, 9x, 7x, and 5x) has an x which means they are all "like terms."
When we have "like terms" added together as in this question, we add the coefficients (3 + 9 + 7 + 5).
3 + 9 + 7 + 5 = 24
3x + 9x + 7x + 5x = 24x
3x+9x+7x+5x=
Since all the terms are "like" terms, you can add the numbers together, 3+9+7+5 (I do this by combining the 7+3 to make 10, then combine 9+5 to make 14, lastly add the two sums together - 10+14=24). So the sum of the 4 numbers is 24 and they still need the x, so 3x+9x+7x+5x = 24x.
Hope this helps!

Easy. Add like terms (which they all are). Answer: 24x

First you need to separate similar terms (3*x + 9*x + 7*x + 5*x) and rewrite as (3+9+7+5)*x
We placed the numbers inside the parenthesis and the variable outside of the parenthesis. So anything inside of the parenthesis will be multiplied by x
Inside the parenthesis add together (3+9+7+5)*x and it becomes (24)*x
Remove the parenthesis around factor and the result is 24x
