an x-intercept of 2 means that y=0, thus the point (2,0)
a y-intercept of 6 means that x=0, thus the point (0,6)
the slope is (6-0)/(0-2)=6/-2=-3, thus m=-3
you can use the point-slope form or the slope-intercept form to find the equation of the line if you like...
using the slope-intercept form...
y=mx+b
using one of the points, say, (2,0)
0=-3*2+b
0=-6+b
b=6
y=-3x+6
