use the formula for arc length:
L=(q/180)(∏)(r) where q=80º and r=300
L=(80/180)(3.14159)(300)
L=(4/9)(300)(3.14159)
L=(4/3)(100)(3.14159) after simplifying
L=(400/3)(3.14159)
L=(400*3.14159)/3
L=1256.636/3
L=418.878666....meters
if you don't understand the formula....
the man ran 80/360 of the circumference
the man ran 2/9 of the circumference
C=2*∏*r
C=2*3.14159*300
C=600*3.14159
C=1884.954 meters
take 2/9 of this number
(2/9)*(1884.954)=(2*1884.954)/9=3769.908/9=418.878666... meters again
