Proportions are solved using cross multiplication.
n/4 = 5/6
When you cross multiply you multiply the numerator of the fraction on one side of the equality by the denominator of the fraction on the other side of the equality.
n*6 = 5*4
6n = 20 (isolate 'n' by dividing by 6 on both sides of the equality)
6n/6 = 20/6
n = 3.33 (repeating decimal) or you could represent it as n = 3 1/3
