What I think you mean is -19 = 3x +44. Is that correct? If so, the 44 will need to move to the left side of the equation. Since, it's positive on the right it will become negative on the left and you add the -19 and -44. From there, you will divide the - number by the 3 to solve for x. Your answer will be negative.
