out of 24 hours in a day, mariyam spends one fourth of the time in school, one third of the time in sleeping, one tenth of the time in watching television and another one tenth playing. the remaining time is spent on other activities. find the time pent by mariyam on other activities.

1/4 x 24 = 6 hrs in school

1/3 x 24 = 8 hrs sleeping

1/10 x 24 = 2.4 hrs watching tv

1/10 x 24 = 2.4 hrs playing

Total = 6 + 8 + 2.4 + 2.4 = 18.8 hrs

Time spent on other activities = 24 hrs - 18.8 hrs = 5.2 hours
