What is the algebraic expression of the difference of a number of x and 8?

'product' means the result of multiplication; 737x is the product of constant 737 and variable (unknown quantity) x.

This, and the earlier question, are elementary in nature, based on the definitions of key words in mathematics.
Get into the habit of thinking precisely, knowing those terms, so that you will not stumble on the basics. Pay attention to the teacher, ask questions, read the book (perhaps repeatedly) and form a peer group with whom you can study and learn.
