The quotient of two numbers is 4, and their product is 400. What are the two numbers?

I am confused, can someone help me?

x/y = 4
xy = 400
 
x = 4y   from first equation
4y(y) = 400  substitute into second
4y2 = 400
y2 = 100
y = ±10
x = ±4

     40 and 10
  or else
    (-40) and (-10).
