The sum of three consecutive integers is 53 more than the least of the integers find the integers

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = x + 53

3x + 3 = x + 53

2x = 50

x = 25 

x + 1 = 26

x + 2 = 27

Sum = 25 + 26 + 27 = 78, which is 53 more than 25.

Let the three consecutive integers be x, x+1 and x+2.

Write an expression that sums (add up) these, and set it equal to x+53, because that sum exceeds the least of the integers (x) by 53.  Solve this equation!
