The common difference of Arithmetic Sequence is q=an-a_{n-1)

(i,e, q=a2-a1=a3-a2=etc).

 

So from the given sequence it is obvious that q=a2-a1=10-4=6

or q=a3-a2=16-10=6

 

So the common difference q=6.

10-4 = 6

16-10 = 6

22-16 = 6

29-22 = 6

 

The common difference is 6.
