the problem is: (5x)^14(5x)^16 I know to add the 14 and 16 because the bases are the same.And I would get

5x^30. does the 5x stay in parenethese? My choices are (5x)^30 and 5x^30

In the term (5x)¹⁴, both the 5 and the x are raised to the 14th power.
