If you look closely at your equation, you will see that with just a little rearranging it is in slope- intercept form: y = mx + b. The m is your slope. Remember, positive slopes are graphed going up from left to right, while negative slopes are graphed going down from left to right (like you are going downhill). If you set x equal to zero and solve for y, you know your y-intercept and one of the solutions of the equation. If you set y equal to zero and solve for x, you know the x-intercept and the other solution to your equation. You graph the 2 intercepts and connect them using your slope.
