How do I figure out how to find the slope (m) in the equation. I know how to do:

        You are half correct if the line passes through the point (4,2) it would be y-2=m(x-4) and you were told that this line is parallel to a line who's slope is 3/4. Parallel lines have the same slopes so the equation is

 

y-2=(3/4)*(x-4)
