Let X be the cost of a box of Salt and
Let Y be the cost of a box of Sugar
then from above question,
2X+Y=6.6.............(1) Eqn
X=Y-1.2................(2) Eqn
Solving Eqn (1) And Eqn (2), we get
Substituting the value of X from Eqn(1) into Eqn (2)
2(Y-1.2)+Y=6.6
or, 2Y-2.4+Y=6.6
or, 3Y=6.6+2.4
or, Y=9/3=3
Hence, the cost of a box of Sugar (Y) is 3.0//
