how to factor x squared + 13 +30 - 2x squared + 13x +30 - 6xsquared-13x+30-the primeter of a triangular park is 16x+5 if one side is 12+5 another is 2x-1 find the missing side. A rectangualr skateboard park has a area of xsquared +11x-60 what are the possible dimensions of the park?

x²  + 13x + 30= 0

x2  + 3x + 10x + 30= 0

x( X+3 ) +10 ( x+3)=0

( x+3)(X+10) = 0

x=-3 or x=-10 is the solution.

 X^ 2 + 13X + 30 

 

 Factor it to:

 

   ( X + a ) ( X +b) , where a+ b = 13 , and a.b = 30 , which gives a = 10  b =3 

 

 X^2 + 13 X + 30 = ( X + 10 ) ( X +3 )
