Pre cal problem

School starts in 30 minutes and you live 17 miles from school. What average speed (in miles per hour) do you need to travel in order to arrive at school on time?

answer: "34 miles per hour or faster to get to school on time", because you would set the problem up as:  S x 1/2 =17   so you would divide S by 1/2 and then divide the other side by 1/2.  You are trying to get "S" by itself to find the speed you need to travel at.
