if all the dimensions of a rectangular prism are multiplied by 2 by what factor would the surface area change?

How do I figure this out and how do I do it ?

Original surface area:

 

SA = 2(lw + lh + wh)

 

 

New surface area:

 

SA = 2[(2l * 2w) + (2l * 2h) + (2w * 2h)]

SA = 2(4lw + 4lh + 4wh)

SA = 8(lw + lh +wh)

 

The surface area will quadruple.
